Table & Cue Services
The mechanic is the difference.
Our installer has taught table setup across the country. When we move, level, or recover your pool table, it plays true — not “good enough for a home game.” And most cue repairs are done while you wait.
Pool Table Moving
Moving a slate table is not like moving furniture.
A regulation 8-foot slate bed weighs around 650 pounds — spread across three pieces that must be disassembled, transported level, reinstalled, re-shimmed, and re-clothed. Done wrong, you get a warped slate, sagging rails, and a table that will never roll straight again.
Our crew moves tables across the St. Louis metro every week. We disassemble on-site, transport in our own trucks, and rebuild the table tournament-level on arrival. New cloth is usually included if the old felt has seen better days.

Recovering & Repair
New cloth. New table.
A fresh recovering makes an old table play like new again — smoother roll, cleaner cuts, and cushions that respond the way they were built to. We recover in-home across St. Louis, or in our shop if you prefer a drop-off.
We also repair cushions that have lost their bounce, re-set loose rails, replace damaged pockets, and service leveling systems on pedestal tables.
Recover (cloth only)
Remove old cloth, install new cloth, stretch and staple.
From $325Cushion replacement
Replace dead or hardened rubber on rails. Includes recover.
From $595Re-level & shim
Restore dead-flat slate on tables that have shifted over time.
From $195Pocket replacement
Leather or rubber pockets — worn, torn, or damaged.
From $125Cue Repair
Most repairs, same day.
We’ve had a cue lathe in the back since the shop opened. Tips, ferrules, wraps, cleaning, refinishing, weight adjustments — bring your cue in and most jobs are ready before you leave.
See the Cue Repair page for a complete price list.

The Process
How a table move actually goes.
Everyone worries about this one. Here’s the play-by-play so you know what to expect.
1. Site inspection (or phone conversation)
We confirm the table size, type, stairs or grade involved, and whether anything needs to come apart on the way out (doors, stair rails, etc.). For anything unusual, we stop by first. For a standard 8-foot home table on one level, a phone call is usually enough.
2. Disassembly
We remove the rails, pockets, and cloth. The slate pieces come off next — usually three pieces, sometimes one. Each slate is wrapped and labeled so it goes back exactly where it came from (slate beds aren’t interchangeable).
3. Transport
Tables ride flat and padded in our truck. Slate rides on edge with foam between pieces. We don’t stack furniture on top of your table, and nothing bounces loose in transit.
4. Reassembly & level
At the destination, we rebuild the base, set the slate, shim it dead flat (within 0.010″ across the full bed), re-attach rails, and install cloth. A level table isn’t a preference — it’s the entire game.
5. Test roll
Before we leave, we roll a ball slowly across the table in multiple directions. If it curves, we’re not done. If it rolls true, you’re ready to break.
